⟡ OUR THEME ⟡"Collected Miscellany" is an unofficial Genshin Impact fanzine featuring 30+ contributors’ Genshin Impact original characters interacting in a shared universe and timeline. The zine will include details such as visions, affiliations, stories, and “voicelines”. Contributors will have the opportunity to collaborate and explore how their OCs would interact within the zine.This zine will be information-based, featuring character profiles for each OC as well as illustration spreads and written work focusing on either character studies or relationships between the OCs.Original characters can be anyone that fits into canon and fandom lore. For example, having an adepti or a Harbinger OC is okay, but replacing Zhongli as the Geo Archon is not. We also ask that contributors adhere to the current canon weapon classes (sword, claymore, bow, catalyst, polearm). Please note that because this zine is heavily dependent on text (e.g. character descriptions), it will be entirely in English. + 26 artists, 4 writersThis zine will be set in a collective universe that includes OCs as well as currently existing characters. This means that all of the submitted pieces aside from character sheets—full illustrations, written pieces, and merch—will include multiple other OCs in the zine.

Compensation

Contributors are guaranteed both digital and physical copies of the zine, but we aim to provide contributors a free full bundle including all merch depending on preorders. All preorder funds will first go towards production of the zines and merch, and any leftover profits will be split according to the shares model below.All contributors who wish to receive monetary compensation will need to either be over 18 years old or have permission to receive money on a guardian's account.+ Mod Team/Graphics - 25%

What is a zine?
A fanzine is a compilation of creative works, typically artwork and written pieces, based around a theme.Will there be guest contributors?
Yes, we have a lineup of incredibly talented guests that can be found on our social media!Will there be any ships?
OC x OC ships are permitted, but in acknowledgement of the many ship fans in the Genshin community, OC x canon character ships will not be allowed.Is this zine set in canonverse?
This zine will be set in the canon Teyvat timeline and universe alongside the canon archons and characters. However, canon characters will feature minimally in the zine, as the focus is not on them but on the OCs.Will you be holding mod/mod intern applications?
We already have a full mod team and are not searching for additional members.Will you be accepting merch artists?
We are not looking for merch-only artists. Instead, accepted page artists will have the option to create merch art in addition to their zine contribution.Do I need to have an OC to apply for the zine?
Having an already-designed Genshin OC is not required to apply, but we will be asking for two different visions and nations for an OC on the application, as well as more detailed information upon acceptance.Do I need zine experience to apply?
No zine experience is needed to apply! The mods are more than happy to welcome those new to zines, and have plenty of experience to help contributors in every step of the process.Do I need to be a certain age to apply?
All applicants must be over 16 years old by September 20th to join this zine. Minors will only be able to receive monetary compensation through a guardian’s PayPal, or forfeit their share and opt for a free bundle (if profits allow).Will my ship and content preferences affect my chances of acceptance?
Though this zine is strictly SFW and PG-13, applicants will not be rejected based on what they post on their personal social media accounts.Can I apply as both an artist and a writer?
Yes, but you will only be accepted for one position.Can I bring an existing OC to the zine or do I have to create a new one from scratch?
Contributors are welcome to bring an existing OC to the project, given that they create splash art and a character card that is entirely new for the zine. However, you will also have the choice to create a new OC if you wish—the choice is up to you!Can I contribute multiple OCs to this project?
For page count and weight reasons, each contributor will only be allowed to bring one (1) OC to this project.Can I stream or post WIPs of my piece?
Artists are allowed to publicly stream and share progress of their pieces up until the lineart stage, after which we will be providing specific guidelines.
